| Personal History | Ronald was born in year 2351 on the 2nd of April in Canton, Missouri. He had a good childhood, was a popular kid, had a lot of friends, got excellent grades and was a born athlete. He especially excelled in swimming. But a traumatic event would change his life significantly. On a beautiful Sunday late in may tragic struck when during a fishing trip with his father and uncle the weather suddenly changed to a cataclysmic storm. During their trails to get the little ship back to shore a giant wave swept Ronald overboard and his father was unable to get him back in the ship as he was quickly swallowed by the sea. The search went on for days and after six days they found him drifting on open sea. He had clammed himself onto a piece of driftwood and managed to stay afloat for nearly a week. Because of the traumatic experience Ronald became depressed and socially awkward. His parents divorced shortly after the accident. His mother blamed his father and couldn’t handle Ronald’s depression. After years of counselling he managed to overcome his depression. But the past had left a sever phobia of water and a cynical attitude. Right after high school he joined the military. His superiors quickly caught up on his aptitude with a wide range of weapons and the ability to quickly assess a situation. He was transferred to the 4th Recon team and was bumped up to join the NCO ranks. His training was extensive and covered almost everything from deep sea diving to surviving harsh jungle environment and aerial infiltration. For over four years he was deployed more than a hundred times had seen more war than most men would see in two lifetimes. All of his deployments are classified as most of them included missions into political unstable areas. After his service in the military he took an extended leave. Scouring the Federation planets he did freelance missions putting his military training to use to gain some coin. But most of the coin he earned was squandered away by gambling. But things really spiralled out of control on the Ferengi home world where he got himself into an enormous debt to a local crime boss. Barely escaping the clutches of death he went back to earth. Having no place to go he applied to Starfleet. But instead of applying for a marine position he applied for the Starship-Piloting Program. Being virtually unknown to aerial crafts except jumping out of ‘em this was an odd choice. Even to this day Ronald is unsure why he ever filled that application. But against all odds he aced his test and was accepted into the program. Seven years later he majored the Starfleet's Starship-Piloting Program. As he was promoted to Lieutenant J.G. he was assigned an Assistant CONN position. For nearly a year he served on the U.S.S. Kraken. Having shown his immense flying capabilities he was transferred to the U.S.S. Archer for the Chief CONN position. After three years the U.S.S. Archer was decommissioned and Ronald was transferred to the U.S.S. de Ruyter and promoted to full Lieutenant. |
