| Physical Description | Lyra is a fairly tall, lithe woman, but with her habit of getting clothes one size too big for her, even with her Starfleet uniforms, one would assume her build to be average. Her long black hair is usually in a braid at the back of her neck, stretching all the way down her back. Her vulcan-like, double-pointed ears offset her otherwise humanoid feature. She has large green eyes that stand out on her fair featured face and always seem to hold an eerie calm within them. |

| General Overview | At first, Lyra comes off as cool and detached, often leaving others cut off from her. But the moment someone is injured or implores her for help her true and hidden nature comes out. That nature being her kinder and politer side. Lyra hates to see others suffer, either emotionally or physically and will do whatever it takes to see that they get feeling better, except break her own, personal boundaries. Her El-Aurian side urges her to look after others, while her Halanan side leaves her guarded and closed off. Because of Halanan mating practices she is very particular about the opposite gender and tends to be very cold toward men, unless rank requires a certain amount of respect. Toward women, however, she tends to be far more herself and opens up more easily, not feeling any measure of possible loss by doing so. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Something that can be considered both a weakness and fault in Lyra is her stubborn nature. Once she makes up her mind about something, she won‘t step down, whether it be a professional decision or a personal opinion, she won‘t change her mind. But Lyra is also very driven in her personal hobbies and in work and will spend weeks on end on the same project. In the same areas she is very creative and is good at making something beautiful or functional out of very little materials. Her kind nature is likely one of her greatest assets. She is very considerate of others and will give of herself until she’s exhausted to ensure the comfort of those around her. The main reason behind this being the constant pressure of living under her mother’s scrutiny. She often overly stressed due to this leaving her overly guarded and closed off to others in a personal way. Most of her time is spent seeing to strangers, leaving her little time for friends. |

| Ambitions | Lyra’s greatest ambitions is to live up to her mother’s expectations without sacrificing her own hopes and dreams. Following close behind is her desire to make some great pathways through modern medicine, making way for greater and greater advancements. | |

| Personal History | Younger years: Lyra was raised on New Halanan with her rather large family. Being the middle child and one of the quieter ones, Lyra was often forgotten as there were many other children to tend to. So she was left to her own devices. She often looked after her other siblings, regardless of age, tending to scrapes and cuts and letting them pour out their innermost thoughts. She quickly learned more about her siblings than her own parents. Her father, a refugee El-Aurian, was more of an emotional supports to his children than her mother who was more often demanding and scrutinizing. Schooling: While Lyra spent most of her childhood invisible to her parents, her schooling years suddenly thrust her into their views. Her other siblings went into some apprenticeship or another while her oldest sister went into the Starfleet Academy and Lyra went into Starfleet Medical Academy. Lyra’s medical ambitions suddenly had her parents proud and fawning over her accomplishments. She had intended, once her medical schooling was over, to join Starfleet in her sister’s wake, but when her sister died in a training accident her mother banned all of her children from ever joining Starfleet. Luckily, her mother did let her complete her medical training at Starfleet. Lyra spent several years as a local doctor on her planet as she studied psychology. But soon the quiet life became to dull for her and in the last year of her psychology studies she put in her application to Starfleet Academy and was accepted behind her mothers back. So, after the completion of her psychology degree, Lyra packed up and left in a rather bitter situation with her mother. Federation time: Lyra went through Academy training with good speed and was soon sent off to her first assignment. She spent her first year on an active deep Space station, helping all those who came in from skirmishes. A few years after she was transferred to a battleship and served there for two years. |
