| Personal History | Quintin was born in the year 2359 in a small mountain town on the planet of Betazed. His father the known and feared crimelord Primum Marx had many enemies and his mansion got often infiltrated, thus Quintin learned to deal with violence from a young age. In the year 2368, at Quintins 9th birthday, assassins from the Black Cobra splinter cell Iris infiltrated the house. They were able to swiftly take out every person guarding the place and infiltrate the personal quarters of the Marx family. Primum selfishly entered the panicroom inside of his bedroom, leaving his wife and two sons behind. The assassins took them hostage, threatening to kill them if he didn't come out. Being the coldhearted man he was, Primum didn't respond to the threat. And so the assassins started carrying out their threat. They grabbed Quintin and Quartum and dragged them into the bathroom, there they pushed Quartum into the shower unit and poured a liquid fire accelerant over him. They repeated their threat one more time, put an Iris flower into his mouth and set him on fire. From that point Quintin blacked out. He woke up later, still on the floor lying in a pool of blood with a piece of broken mirror in his hand and three cut up assassins next to him. Seconds later police burst into the room and take him away. His father got arrested and his mother was institutionalized after this event. Quintin was placed in a foster home. He now suffers from a severe Anthrophobia, particularly Iris flowers. Often turning catatonic at the sight. A few years later he got accepted into Starfleet academy, his excellent tactical insight and combat experience caused him to graduate with near perfect grades. Soon after graduation he joined the crew of the USS Mcguyver as a security officer. He had always thought it was a bit of a strange ship, but since it was his first job on a space ship he had little reference material. He didn't fully come to realize the full weirdness of the Mcguyver until the debriefing of the Pencil/Paperclip catastrophe. The Science team had finally been able to succesfully combine a paperclip and a pencil at a molecular level, why this was a milestone in modern science no-one knew, they were very proud. Not know they had accidentally created a sentient being. It soon became self aware and managed to recreate itself in a replicator. It invaded engineering and caused a warp core breach due to paperclip overload. After this Quintin got assigned to Starport 42 as a security advisor. Due to the lack of happenings on this space station, he started investigating new defense tactics and learn new combat movements. He even received special training from some military units passing through. After five years he finally had enough of the silence and decided to join a starship again and thereby ending up on the USS De Ruyter. |
